Special Requirements for Farmers

Produce must be grown by, or under the control of, the registered farmer.
Vehicles occupying space(s) must display a decal or other identification issued by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.
Rules, regulations and policies of the S.C. Department of Agriculture are to be followed. A copy of these rules and regulations will be provided upon request.
Spaces must be kept neat and clean. A cleanup fee of $50.00 will be charged if S.C. Department of Agriculture employees must clean a space.
Waste must be placed in proper waste receptacles or be removed from the Farmers Market.
If electricity is needed, daily or monthly charges will be applied according to the number and type of units being powered.
Stalls cannot be assigned to another individual. The rental agreement allows for use of the space by the farmer, his/her immediate family and his/her employees. Names of all such individuals must be supplied to the S.C. Department of Agriculture market offices.
Seasonal rental of a space entitles the farmer to the use of the assigned stall. Any other space used by the farmer will be charged at the going rate.
Only South Carolina farmers are eligible to rent stalls on an annual or seasonal basis.
Daily users may not occupy a space that is rented annually or seasonally.

*Growers may also lease space in the stables and are subject to the same SCDA requirements above for sheds.
